went out overnight to look for whales

Left the mooring on the cooks River yesterday afternoon and went to La Perouse overnight and that was awesome. The water across Botany Bay was glassy on the way out with the clouds being mirrored on the water. At La Perouse we picked up the public mooring and we were the only boat there. We had our first rain event while on board and the boat happily stayed dry inside. The rainbow was a good omen - we hope       In the morning we went out to sea about 3 km outside the heads of Botany Bay and there were whales everywhere which was exciting the see.   The sound of the whales breathing was really deep and unique. You can hear it in this video.

finally finished the door.

This door was one of the first things that we made and in retrospect it's kind of clunky but we persisted with it and we now call it the $10,000 door cos that's how much time we put in it. Finally I came up with a easy way to lock the door i just slide this bar through some eye bolts and then put this combination lock on it
